The first film in Summit’s Twilight film franchise was the action-packed, modern day vampire love story “Twilight” which opened in theaters in November 2008 and took in $69.6 million domestically in its first weekend and went on to gross over $380 million worldwide. Also notably the film sold more than 3 million DVD units in the first day of its release into the home entertainment marketplace.

MTV has a sneak peek of Stephenie’s Female Force comic book bio!
Last month, we told you about the upcoming biography comic book about “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer. Timed to hit shelves in November (right alongside the next film in the franchise, “New Moon”), “Female Force: Stephenie Meyer” arrives in two formats: a standard comic and a limited-run, 32-page version featuring an illustrated history of Forks (the town where “Twilight” takes place) and an alternate, Stephenie Meyer cover that we debuted exclusively on Splash Page.
Now, courtesy of the crew at Bluewater Productions, we have an exclusive, five-page preview of “Female Force: Stephenie Meyer”—as well as a two-page preview of the “History of Forks” story found in the special, extended edition of the comic.

MTV has an interview with singer St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark); she talks about the song she and Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon have on the New Moon soundtrack, entitled Roslyn.
The soundtrack also gathers together a collection of less well-known artists with a ton of indie cred. St. Vincent (real name Annie Clark) — who has been making a name for herself with solo albums and collaborations with Sufjan Stevens — hooked up with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon for the track “Rosyln.”
“He sings in his beautiful falsetto and I’m actually singing very, very low,” Clark told MTV News. “I think there’s something vampirey and creepy about the two of us singing together. It’s a simple, stripped-down kind of song. It’s really elegant and beautiful.”
Clark and Vernon had been talking about collaborating together for a while, and when Vernon wrote “Rosyln,” neither he nor Clark had any idea the track would end up on the “New Moon” soundtrack. “We recorded the song for the joy of it, and then it looked like the ‘Twilight’ people were interested in using the song for the movie,” she explained. “So it pretty naturally happened.”

According to MTV, Muse frontman, Matthew Bellamy, confirmed exactly how Muse will take part in the New Moon soundtrack:
“He [Chris Weitz] wants a rendition of that [I Belong to You], but the only thing with the new film is they want the songs to be exclusive to the film. So he’s asking if I mind doing, or if we mind doing an alternative version of it.”
Bellamy said the band is up to the challenge. “I think it’s all right. … If it was one of the main tracks on [our] album, I would never do it,” he said. “But it’s actually one of the weirder tracks on the album … one of the ‘can’t believe we got away with it’ kind of tracks. I think it might be worth giving it a go [because] it’s a track that might not get played live very often … so it might give that track some life that it wouldn’t have otherwise.”
